THE SESAMA BioLab™

Key to the implementation of the MYHEALTHCARD™ is that the test samples are processed at the SESAMA BioLab™ (SBL) screening labs which includes:

  • Testing room for walk-in patients to have their blood taken and other physical tests
  • A toilet for the taking of the urine sample
  • A working laboratory for immediate sample analysis
  • A small lounge for patients to wait for their test

The feasibility and specifications of the lab is also dependent on the market size and location of the lab. Larger labs will include additional facilities and services. Key is an efficient use of space to manage the labs hence ensuring optimized infrastructure and operational costs.

There are two types of SBL:

  • Primary SBL (SBL-P) provides all testing capabilities (covering all panels)
  • Secondary SBL (SBL-S) provides preliminary testing capabilities (covering a few panels)

THE SESAMA Community Screening Centres™

To provide better access for screening to the bigger population, there will also be nominated SESAMA Community Screening Centres™ (SCSC) which would require use of these areas for a fixed-schedule session for screenings where the nearest SESAMA BioLab™ (SBL) will have fixed clinic times for testing:

  • Doctor / GP Clinics
  • Pharmacies
  • Community Centres including State Representative Offices
  • Public facilities such as Mosques/suraus and other religious centres
  • Other areas / facilities that would make it easier for people to come to be screened / tested

Currently we will start launching our services in the Klang Valley for 2021, and as we expand the network of SBL and SCSC, we will look at expanding to other states by 2022 onwards. For the Klang Valley, covering Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya and Selangor, our SBL locations and start of services are listed below :
